Introducing the Spellar Chrome Extension — Record Meetings in Your Browser

🎉 New: The Spellar Chrome Extension

This is the big one. Meet Spellar AI Recorder — now live on the Chrome Web Store. Record your meetings right in your browser, with no bot joining the call and no desktop app to install.

• No bot, no app — recording runs right inside your browser tab.
• Works with every meeting tool — Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
• Record anything else, too — start from the same control on any page and pick a tab or window to capture.
• Straight into Spellar — your mic and the meeting audio upload to your account and turn into a transcript, summary, and action items within minutes.

Always-on menu bar

Spellar now runs a lightweight background helper, so your meeting reminders and auto-record keep working even when the app is fully closed. Quit with confidence — you'll still never miss a meeting.

Merge recordings

Combine several recordings into a single one, transcript-first and without re-transcribing anything.

Keep more of your audio

New 30-day and 90-day retention options let you hold on to your audio longer. Pro now also includes Spellar-funded cloud transcription — no API key required.

Auto-export & recaps

• Auto-export notes and action items to Todoist, ClickUp, Asana, Google Tasks, and your note apps.
• Weekly & monthly recaps — opt in to periodic summaries of your meetings.

A cleaner, faster app

• Redesigned Settings with instant search across cleanly grouped tabs.
• Smarter transcription — device-aware routing and better speaker names.
• Rich-text shortcuts in notes (Cmd-B, Cmd-I, and more), on any keyboard layout.
• Drag & drop a file onto the window to import it.
• A fresh macOS look — soft gradient background, unified content card, and refreshed color palettes.
• Fixed dropped transcript tails on long recordings, magic-link sign-in from a cold start, language-aware summaries, honest exports, and dozens of freezes.
